Key Club

Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
— Matthew 20:28

At The River Academy we place a high value on service.  Key Club is an international student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to serve, build character, and develop leadership.  Members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing, and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects, and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district, and international levels.  Students also have an opportunity to attend the Pacific Northwest District Convention in Seattle in the spring. The River Academy students have been awarded the 2016 & 2017 Volunteer School of the Year by United Way of Chelan & Douglas Counties.  Key Club meets weekly, and students in grades 7-12 are welcome to attend and participate.

Students in grades 6-8 also have the opportunity to earn a service medal and students in grades 9-12 may earn a letter through Youth United.
