In all its levels, programs, and teaching, The River Academy seeks to do the following:

1.   Assist parents in their God-given duty to bring their children up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

2.   Teach the absolute truth, goodness and beauty of God's Word in order to understand every discipline in the light of divine revelation.

3.   Provide a clear model of Biblical Christianity in the lives of teachers, administrators and board members.

CLASSICAL

In all its levels, programs, and The River Academy seeks to do the following:

1.   Provide students with the tools of learning and instill in them a life-long desire to increase in knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

2.   Implement the Classical Trivium, teaching the grammar, logic and rhetoric of all subjects.

3.   Immerse students in the history, language and arts of western culture, in a manner that enables them to understand our present age and equips them to wisely build the future.

Definitions

Grammar: The fundamental rules of each subject.
Logic: The ordered relationship of particulars in each subject.
Rhetoric: How the grammar and logic of each subject may be clearly expressed.
